Srinagar, Aug 25 (KNO): National Conference MP Choudhary Ramzan said the Jantar Mantar protest over the restoration of statehood had drawn national attention to the issues being faced by the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
Speaking with reporters in Handwara, according to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), the MP said people across the country were now aware of what Jammu and Kashmir had faced and what it had lost over the years.
Taking a dig at the opposition, Ramzan said its criticism of the government was largely disconnected from the realities on ground.
"What the opposition says is just from their bedrooms," he said.
He said J&K is currently going through immense challenges and several issues were beyond the government's immediate control.
However, he expressed confidence that the situation would change and the people of J&K would see better days ahead—(KNO)
